**Remember folks only two weeks to get your cost sharing checks to me.**

I HAVE to order the crawfish almost a month in advance to insure availability. (due to the high volume needed) . Gonna be some kind of party!

Waitlisters: Dont hesitate to send your check in as there is
always alot of atrition and you may be moved off of the waitlist.

Matthew

Matt, can you talk a bit about what'll be needed gear-wise for rafting & where it might be available if we don't have our own?

I vote for mandatory green tutus for rock-climbing!!!

Rafting is looking doable more and more each day.

Currently the annual snowpack average is at %98 and after this next storm system its predicted to get above %140.

Lake Isabella will schedule early releases so this is the section we will most likely do. Its warmer water is a plus and the fact that its a nice long class IV run, also an easy shuttle makes it a win win for everyone.

Wetsuits will be strongly recommended. Plus adequate footwear.

All I will have available to you will be Life Jackets and paddles.

Costco sells wetsuits, Wal Mart, Target, any of these places by the beach should beable to help you.

and one other thing

 Trip is Full!!!

Thanks to everyone who sent in a deposit on time. I'm ordering the crawfish as we speak.

And say hello to the band!!!

First 36 people who show up with AA batteries get a special door prize!

Good times,
Matthew

For anyone who wants to carpool:

I'm in Lancaster, which is probably off the path most of you will come. But, if people drive up to my place (off the 14), you can leave your car at my place and I'll drive you up there. This way I won't have to drive south to catch a carpool or drive there by myself.

I have a Matrix, should be good for 3 people and gear.

You spent the money on paying your bills like you did last year, didn't you Matt?   Danny -Bodfish Blues Band

Doc,

I'd be lying if I didn't say I was concerned with your present situation in the Boat House and how that is gonna transfer to the Extravaganza.

That and the fact I dont have as many people signed up as last year is making the budget tight.
So long story short I wont be needing you to play.

Your still invited of course. I know how you like them mud bugs.

Blue Skies,

Matthew

What are you talking about? Transfer to the Extravaganza? I think you "are" lying. You're concerned with your own goddam situation , not mine. I have made 3 trips to Bakersfield, recorded cd's for hours(yesterday for instance for 4 hours)spent hours and hours on songlists, 3 hours with the bass player and harp player last night working on tunes just for March 15th, advertising on Bakotopia. The keyboard player has made cd's and have my equipment at her place to practice for this thing, have bought over $200 worth of speakers that I would not have bought if I knew you were gonna pull this one. I'm always a little leery(as Beth will tell ya) about getting involved with you. But this will be the last time.    Danny

Nice going, Matt.

Very admirable of you to f**k over Doc like that.  Wasn't he the same guy who rented you a boat when I was rafting with you a number of years ago, and I had to get in touch with you afterwards because he was wondering when you were going to pay him?

Gee, I wonder why your attendance has been declining?  Maybe it's time to move on to another venue because ODC people are catching on to you, particularly the women who you hit on constantly.

Rough times,

Lee

That's funny Lee, cause had Matt not gone back on his word the harmonica player and I were gonna do a Clapton song called "Hard Times". Guess that would have been a good one to dedicate to Matt.

Doc,

Im sorry you felt the need to involve the whole ODC. Truth be told I found a better band. Thats life get used to it.
When I first asked you to play you didn't even have a band together. It took you two weeks to finally commit after
you had to advertise on Bakotopia to find a drummer. So now we're all supposed to feel sorry for you because your hard
at work trying to scab togther some music and I sh*t on your parade. I throw top notch parties and I wasn't gonna have a half assed band.

As far as the character bashing Lee,

I think its you need to get a clue. What kind of person hangs out in an internet forum so he can post snide
remarks and rude comments. Get a Life dude.

To everyone attending the Extravaganza I personally garauntee the best three days of your life will be on this trip.

Matthew
