Hopefully everyone is bringing a couple bundles... And that includes the people who stay at the hotel but want to join the festivities around the campfire :)

And let y'all have all the fun without me?
NO WAY!! I will be camping, and freezing, no doubt,
with my finest whine! (Makes me shiver just thinking
about it! Shoot!) Bring extra blankets!

Raymeister, what's that about 1hr drive up to Sierra Summit Ski Resort from Millerton?  The live came Shaver Lake showes very little snow http://www.sierramarina.com/camera.html then again it's kind of hard to tell too.  It would be great to get in a little snowshoeing in but I'm not driving

Here's Sierra Summit live webcam http://abclocal.go.com/kfsn/story?section=cams&id=3394108 kind of sucks dontcha love it when ski resort don't show the runs

So much to do and see and so little time to do it in

well, it's a thought.  climbing is another thought.  basically, anything that doesn't involve running 14 miles (Valerie!)  :-)

I'm up for running 14 miles then climbing. I only have a 100' static rope and I'm not really good at anchor building but would l-o-v-e to go climbing Sunday if someone could help (Ray!)   :-)

Hey Gang,

Gary and I went up to Sierra Summit yesterday for a day of snowboarding and guess what we found out.

Saturday the weekend that we are going caving Sierra Summit will be offering a free event that involves music, fireworks and a chance to take the chair lift to the top and snowboard down with torches.  They call it a torchlight parade.

How awesome is that a free ski lift ticket.  So how many of you might be interested in leaving the cave at 3:00 pm to head up for an hour drive to Sierra Summit and go skiing/snowboarding for free (dinner also included at $12.00).  But this would conflict with our potluck.

Im ok with staying at the cave and continue with our own festivities, but I just thought you guys should know what was going on up the hill.

Tam

I just found out that I have Monday OFF.  Val?

I can bring climbing gear, but I'm not familiar with the area.

Sure, I'm up for whatever as far as skiing/snowboarding. Although it can mean alot of extra gear for people. But free??? Sure. Do we know what the rentals for boards/boots are?

Fireworks? Music? Torches? I'm in! Erika I may have an extra set of board/binding/boots, but I have to check to make sure no parts are missing.

YOU ROCK Valerie!!!! Any little bit of gear helps! That sounds like a friggin blast. I suggest Tammy, that you email the group so people are aware. Not alot of people read this. Just a thought. I can't wait for this! Fireworks and stuff! Good stuff.
