hi all,

some people have inquired about making direct donations, even if they can't attend the event. here is a quick link:

https://www.americares.org/Donate/default.aspx?jump=Sidebar

i chose this organization because:

- according to Forbes Magazine, they are one of the most efficient charitable organizations.

- they seem to be non-denomination specific.

please help. it's very simple, and will take 5 minutes of your time. the amount of the donation is not important - it can be as little as $1. it's the act of caring  about those less fortunate that's important.

Gianni,

"If any1 named Jason/ Rudy signup plz put them on D same team! "

When I posted this in my sign up comments, it meant to put both on the same team.. NOT MINE!!

Even if those BOTH LOOSERS are on the same team, they will have no chance of winning any competition at all(..though they may have a chance at pie-eating contest).  I would even bet on that.

They may even beat the snutt out of each other, confused and argueing about which trail to take..

LOOSERS!  I think they know that, and even scared to sign up for the event.

Gianni,

Would you please ask that loose-lipped, firewood stealin', slack-armed, charity taking poser to keep his tongue in his mouth?

Mom! He touched me!!!...Mom! He is looking at me!!... Mom!!..He stole my toy.. Mom!..  He is talking!.. make him shut up!!  In order to earn to talk, get a team man.   You can even take those two losers on your team and beat each other up, finding yourself lost somewhere in the park, crying to each other.  Those two in your team, sounds like a sure losing team to me.

"...charity taking poser!"  Give me a break.  I will double every penny your team raise, and on the top, if any one bets in any of those teams, will also go to the charity.

Yeah!  Poser!! Get into the game to earn to talk..

Wanna arm wrestle?

NO!

Wanna dance?

Come on! The beer drinking contest was last weekend. This event happens to be a very serious, cut troat, high level competition... Your buddies will be counting on you to hike, run do whatever it takes to win, and raise the most money for the charity.... and you want to arm wrestle..

Go get in shape buddy, your team will need you. Your team doesn’t want to stop every five minutes waiting for you to catch up...

Huh!! Arm wrestle!! Can’t believe this guy!

..and the other two(Jason and Rudy that is) no where to be seen. I guess that was too much of a competition for them, and couldn’t take it. I bet they are sitting under their desks, scared and holding onto their GPS’s and staring at it aimlessly for hours at a time. I thought those losers could at least eat a pie or two... I was wrong, I guess...

"blah, blah, blah ..."

This is best you could come up with!  Just talk and talk and Talk! ..and more talk... The pissing contest is over buddy.  This is a war.

You are one lucky man.. Lucky to even be in a team.  Must be a very nice group leader, if you aren't already kicked off of the team.  Your team does not nead a slacker or talker.. they need a competitor..  Can you not smell the blood?  Too bad you will bring a good team crushing down!  Tooo bad!!!

You still don't get it... do you?

I am after blood.. I want to win.. I want to kick some serious azz..  Come on man at least make it harder for me..

... and those two looooosers must be your friends.  They don't even have guts to step up to plate. ..or do they?

This is how you feel... "..kicked to the curb"!! Face the reality Marty.. It is more like a gutter..

"Fired up.." So, does that mean, you now have to drink two 6 packs instead of one to cool off?

Come on Marty if you are fired up, move your azz and get in shape. What is that 5 miles run every day, that I hear.. It probably is just a jug!!! Event is 10 miles not 5..

Marty, if you are a "So. Cal. Chapter of the Commando Governing Board" Platinum ++ certified commando and a world class athlete, having bagged all 14'ers and having won every single arm wrestle does not mean a jack. Because, what I hear that you have been throwing some mean parties, drinking fine drinks, dancing all night.. Buddy, all those fine ladies maybe allover you, you may get laid, but ain’t gonna help you to win a competition at this level.

I got an idea; If any one bets in your favor, I will be cooking for every one participates in the event, with the permission from the master commando Gianni. If no one bets in your favor, you invite me to one of your mean parties.

If it is a deal, here are the conditions for the dinner I will cook.

If any person(s) think the food was "just fair" they will pay 1 extra $,
if any person(s) think it was "just OK" it will cost them 2 extra $,
if any person(s) think the food was "good" it will cost them 3extra $,
if any person(s) think the food was "very good" they will pay 4 extra $,
if they think the food was "excellent"... now that qualifies for the
"Priceless" category and they can choose to donate any amount 5 and up
extra$ for the CHARITY, without limits.

If anyone think the food "stinks", they will get to pay for everybody
else. I will prepare chicken or stake(or both), fish or shrimp(or both) and veggie burritos for everybody. Of course anyone is still welcome to bring their own food, if they choose too.

REMEMBER!!! This is a CHARITY event for the Tsunami victims. It is even OK to bet in favor of Marty... All the funds raised goes to charity, bet anything you like, or eat as much burrito as you like.

joking aside, what's essentially happening here is that one person is volunteering to buy food (footing the entire bill out of his own pockets) *and* cook for everyone who attends. he doesn't care about being reimbursed for the food. he's going to donate all of the proceeds to the Tsunami Relief Effort.

thank you, Verdi.

Thanks, Tonya, for the clarifying quote.

I have to note - you all should bring some pocket money, 'cause Verdi can cook.

Now, I have the permission from Master Commando Gianni to contribute to this fun event with a great cause. Here is the plan in short..

I will cook for everyone and hope everyone participates will enjoy it.

As Gianni mentioned, all proceeds will go to Tsunami victims. Gianni, thank you for making such event possible.

PS: Marty, see even for charity you still did not get anyone batting in your favor.  Will I still be invited..?

Hi Tonya,

Pockey money is:

1) Prison money for poor spellers (pokey)
2) Pocket money for fat-fingered typists

:o)
