The toll road up to Henningers was badly damaged from the rains on January 7 - 11th. The road will be closed to the public for close to 2 - 3 months. Yes, thats right almost 3 months. And that all depends on the weather. The 2.7 mile streatch up to Henninger has numerous washouts where the road no longer exists. There are slides that cover the road entirely or partially. The danger to the novice hiker is extreme and even the so called experienced hiker will have his work cut out for them. No heavy equiptment will be put on the road until maybe the beginning of February. There are streams crossing the road where streams have NEVER been seen before. The county personnel tht work up there must walk in from the gate. The road at the bridge his gone on the far side. If your outing tkes you up that way, best make new plans for awhile. Hike Safe.

The time frame for all repairs on the toll road is nowfor sure 3 months. L.A.County controlls it and with all the damage done from the rains jobs are moving slow in some areas.
