Event Description

Weather willing, this trip WILL happen this time.

We had such a good time & got so much good work done last trip that I wanted to post it again. Come on out, you'll be glad you did!

Wind Wolves is a beautiful preserve that's part of The Wildland's Conservancy.  A volunteer weekend generally goes something like this: 9:AM meet up & find out where we'll be working. 10:00AM til whenever the work is done (generally early afternoon) planting trees, acorns, removing non-native species, etc.  We'll all gather back at the Crossing, where we'll set up our camps for the night and at around 6:PM or so, the staff of the Preserve will provide us with a very nice barbeque dinner.  A cozy fire, some chat & hanging out, perhaps some music & we'll settle in for the evening. On Sunday morning a tour of the Preserve can be arranged if desired.

This is a great opportunity to do some good work and have the privelege of checking out this lovely Preserve. Here's a link so you can take a look:

Bring camping gear for one night, lunch for Saturday, breakfast Sunday and of course the usual, water, sunscreen & hat. If you have a musical instrument and would like to entertain us by the fire, bring it. I'll bring drums and shakers for anyone interested in a drum circle.

Directions and a description of the work we'll be doing will be emailed to everyone a few days prior to the event. It's about an hour 1/2  drive from LA.
