Trip Report
Just another damn day in paradise. It was a cool 68 degrees, low humidity and severely clear. Stephanie & I headed out from Lake Poway at about 9:25. It was a brisk pace. Brisk for me, but Stephanie's normal gait. The trail has been improved since I last hiked it about a year ago. Even with the recent rains. The switch-backs were improved with rock walls, water diversions and such. Some of the improvements were so new that you could still see the tool marks in the soil. I was not able to make it all the way to the top, so Stephanie went on and did make it. Ah, the benefits of youth. If you want a pleasant hiking mate, she is certainly one of the best. Happy hikin', -Thom
