Event Description SATURDAY – May 14, 2005
SATURDAY – June 4, 2005 - {National Trails Day}

Bear Canyon is classified as semi-wilderness.
The rains of October have really done a job on the trails, more trees are down as well.
We have been doing a great job clearing the brush and fixing the trail, and there is still much more to be done. Over the six dates mentioned we hope to get the more of the trail work completed. We have most of the 5.2 miles of canyon trail completed. We will be cutting trees in the campground and on the trail as well as rebuilding trails. The crews of men and women have been doing one fantastic job!! We are always looking for a few more good and willing able bodies. Tell a friend!!!
The work is very rewarding and we work in an environment that is absolutely
beautiful. If you have never been to Bear Canyon, now is your chance!
Do YOU spend time in the mountains? Hiking, camping or just relaxing??
Then you know just how serene it can be. Now is your chance to give something
back. This is your way to say thanks without expecting thanks in return. The needs
of the many, out weight the needs of the one. We can do for others, what they cannot do for themselves. We can do this together, “One Day At A Time”.

The more workers (volunteers) we have, the faster the trail work will be completed.
These are your mountains. Yours to enjoy and take care of for future generations.
Don’t wait for someone else to do it. Jump in and help out. Your mind will love you for caring about others without expecting anything in return!

We will be meeting each day @ 8am on Angeles Crest Highway in
La Canada just 200 yards north of the 210 freeway, then carpool to the trailhead. We have most of the necessary tools & supplies needed. R.S.V.P. so we bring enough tools for everyone. Bring water and lunch. Hat, gloves, long pants & long sleeved shirt, good boots or walking shoes and safety glasses are recommended.
For those of you who like, we may get together for dinner at Conrad’s in La Canada afterwards if time allows.
