| Event Description |
Come to a free concert of Taiko music on a Thursday night. The group is San Jose Taiko, a well-known group to be held at the courtyard outside of the Japanese American National Museum in Downtown LA at First and Central. Taiko is the very distinctive Japanese style of drumming w/ giant drums and a very dramatic percussive sound.Let's meet at 6pm, and you can sit on chairs provided, if available, or bring your own. Afterwards, for those interested, there is a good Mexican seafood restaurant[Senor Fish] and a lot of Japanese restaurants.The Ukelele music festival held there on July 12th was a lot of fun. |
