CRYSTAL COVE STATE PARK TUESDAY NIGHT HIKES

Around 5:00 p.m. the Ranger Office is closed...

That means parking is FREE!

This is intermediate because of the hills! If you are an in-shape beginner and can keep your pace uphill too, come on out!!

POLES...POLES....POLES...POLES... will it end????????????

The park is located off Pacific Coast Highway between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. Major landmark is El Morro School which is visible from PCH on the INLAND side of PCH.

Since many of you will be arriving from here and there and everywhere, here are general directions to the CCSP:


73 to 133 towards Laguna Beach. Turn right onto PCH. Proceed north on PCH for approximately 2 miles until you come to School-State Park Road (El Morro School). Proceed straight to the end of the road and turn right. Turn right again at the yellow gate into CCSP.

We will meet at picnic tables in front of the ranger station and decide our fates from there. It will either be a loop or an out-and-back.

Start: 5:30 p.m.

Distance: 5-7 miles. Depending on group size and fitness levels.

Go at your own pace if you know the trail. Catch up to us at the turns. You want to run? Go for it!

Bring your smiling face, lots of water, sunscreen, hat, and have fun on the trails!

RATTLESNAKES ON THE TRAIL. BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU TREAD!


Rain and/or thunderstorms at the cove cancels. Oh and especially LIGHTNING! YIKES! HA!
